Data Puller: music, company figures and your own data
New sources for the Data Puller: MusicBrainz, company figures by ticker symbol, and any CSV or JSON you bring yourself.
The Data Puller (beta) has more to pull from.
- MusicBrainz: search for a band or artist to get their albums, singles and EPs by release date, plus line-up changes showing who joined and who left.
- Companies & assets: search by ticker symbol for a company's recorded figures, such as revenue, net profit, employees and market cap, one point per year or per recorded month. These are figures recorded on Wikidata, not live market prices.
- From a link: bring your own data. Paste a link, drop in a file, or paste CSV, TSV or JSON. AtlasTrack suggests which columns hold the dates, titles and numbers, and you can change any of them before importing. The link is saved on every event. It's your source, so its own terms apply.
- Franchise timelines: search a film, series or game franchise on Wikidata and place its events on the story's own time scale, with your own labels for before and after, not just by release date. Wikidata suggests dates where it has them, and you confirm or type in the rest. Nothing is added without a date you've approved.
- Credits travel with your events: each pulled event's description now ends with its source, license and credit, so they stay with it when you publish or share.
- Stricter image checks: images with trademark or personality-rights restrictions, such as company logos, are now left out even when their copyright license is free.
World Bank is no longer a built-in source. Its dataset terms limit some data to non-commercial use, so we took it out. If its terms fit your use, you can still bring it in yourself with From a link.
Try it yourself. AtlasTrack is free and runs right in your browser.
