Atlas Tags: one event, many atlases

AtlasTrack Update

A treaty between two nations or a merger of two companies belongs to both stories. Now you can tag an event into other atlases instead of duplicating it.

An event still belongs to one atlas, but you can now tag it into any other atlas it involves. You keep one copy of the event and it shows up everywhere it's relevant.

  • Tag from the Event inspector: use + Tag atlas when creating or editing an event. Solid chips are the atlases that own the event, and dashed chips are tags.
  • On the timeline: a tagged atlas shows a small dashed marker at the same moment. When you hover, select or play over the event, all of its markers light up together.
  • In the sidebar: show tagged events mixed in with an atlas's own events, or in a separate "Tagged" section. Your choice is saved with the project.
  • Search finds events by the atlases they're tagged in. The Detail view can show or hide tagged events, and slides can link to them.
  • On phones, you can add and remove tags in the event edit sheet.

Tags only add context, so graphs and metrics still count just an atlas's own events. Deleting an atlas also no longer deletes events that another atlas still uses.

Try it yourself. AtlasTrack is free and runs right in your browser.
