Import Excel timelines with periods and BCE dates
Open or drop an Events/Periods workbook to bring its dated events and ranges into AtlasTrack, including negative years for BCE.
AtlasTrack can now read compatible Excel timeline workbooks with Events and Periods sheets.
- Open or drop a workbook: use Import from Local Drive, or drag a supported file onto the page. If no project is open, AtlasTrack guides you through creating one before the import continues.
- Keep dates and durations: point events remain points; rows with an end date or end position become periods on the timeline.
- Use BCE dates: the date format accepts a negative year for BCE, with optional month and day.
- Read crowded periods more easily: overlapping periods use ribbons and visible overflow groups instead of covering one another. Event clearance in Settings lets you adjust the space around expanded event cards.
Try it yourself. AtlasTrack is free and runs right in your browser.
